Hand tools are the tools that are used in the technical field through the use of physical energy. Engineers or technicians work hand-in-hand. Therefore, hand tools are essential for an engineer or skilled electrical technician to solve any construction or maintenance work properly and efficiently. It is not possible to do any technical work without hand tools.

Hand tools maintenance requirements

As important as hand tools are in the technical field, so is maintenance. If hand tools are not maintained, their performance is lost. As a result, no work can be solved accurately and skillfully. Therefore, maintenance of general hand tools is essential if any engineering work is to be done properly. It is not possible to work efficiently without good hand tools.

The names of the hand tools and equipment used in electrical work and the descriptions of all the work used are given below:

1. Measuring tape

Measuring tapes are used in engineering workshops and to accurately determine the length, width, and height of an object.

2. Micrometer

It is used in engineering workshops. With the help of wire diameter and g. I. The thickness of the seat can be accurately determined.

3. Filler gauge

57. Frequency meter

The frequency of the AC supply voltage can be measured.

 58. Voltmeter

The voltage generated at the generating station and the voltage at the supply line can be measured directly by a voltmeter.

59. Ampere meter

The current of the load and the circuit can be measured in ampere units by ampere meter.

60. Watt meter

The actual wattage of the load and the power of the circuit can be determined by the wattmeter.

61. Energy meter

Energy meters are used to measure in a single unit how much electricity is being consumed in residential, factory, and sub-station over a specified period of time.

 62. Tong tester or clip-on test meter

Electrical current can be determined by simply placing a tong tester on the electrical wire. This tong tester electronics type and moving iron type are available in the market.

63. Tachometer

It can be used to measure the rotational speed of the motor and engine per minute.

64. Soldering iron

Soldering iron is used for welding joints of electric wires.

65. Power factor meter

Power factor meters are used to measure cosine angles between AC voltage and current.

 66. Phase sequence

This allows to accurately determine the polarity of the AC line

67. Soldering unit

This allows the thick gauge to be welded as tightly as welding in a very short time.
